What to expect?
MEGA MATH™ classes are designed to provide a small group and social atmosphere for learning. The MEGA MATH™ model is based off of peer learning research and educational frameworks that show that children learn effectively in environments where they are placed with similar-age kids with whom they can share the experience of learning. In this environment, children model and imitate, ask questions, which benefit everyone in the class, and participate in interactive and fun educational activities.
Students are grouped based on grade level
1:4 coach-to-student ratio, so every child gets attention
Classes are 90 minutes long and start right on time
All supplies are provided to the students
There is no homework, but kids can do extra credit worksheets at home
Kids can bring questions from school homework assignments and tests
Small Classes. Learning. Fun.
Learning group sessions are typically structured as follows:
Coach-led instruction on day's math topics.
Guided practice with worksheets and fun activities. Lots of support from coaches and peers.
Game time! New concepts are reinforced through fun and play.
Logic puzzle challenge and clean up.
Prize time. Students can 'spend' their earned "chips" on fun prizes (chips are earned throughout the session for being helpful, having a positive attitude, and putting in effort).

Chips and prizes
At this young age, kids are very motivated by tangible incentives. At MEGA MATH™, kids earn "chips" for things like arriving on time, bringing supplies, helping classmates, completing worksheets with effort, and winning games (plus a bonus for solving a logic puzzle).
Chips can be traded for fun prizes like Pokémon cards, bouncy putty, fidget toys, tattoo pens, Legos, and our very popular "fart putty." So when kids talk about chips, this is what they mean!
